Interview

A previous word processing supervisor I had worked for in a law firm in Charlotte NC recommended me to the McGuireWoods supervisor for a word processing position. I was moving back to Charlotte NC from San Diego CA, so they asked me to go to their Los Angeles office for a video interview with their Charlotte NC office. A panel of three supervisors interviewed me. The interviewers were extremely nice and friendly. We had a pleasant exchange.

Scheduled phone screening interview the day after I submitted the application. Didn't hear anything for roughly six weeks before getting a call to schedule an in person. Didn't hear anything for another month after the in person interview. Got a call for a second in person for a different department.

The atmosphere and people were very pleasant. The partners were so approachable and courteous that you did not know they were partners until told. After scoring well on the proficiency tests and interviewing with multiple people during a two-week period, I was offered more than I was seeking. It was an offer I could not refuse, so I accepted it and have had no regrets.
