I applied through college or university. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Toronto, ON)
Interview
The hiring process was a set of interactions over several months. Building those relationships was the round zero. Round one was a set of two back to back case interviews with managers. They want to learn how you respond to situations in your work and personal life. They want to understand you to understand how you will fit into the team. The case portion tests your approach to solving problems. They want to see how you think. The cases are very long, but you will only be solving one or two segments of a longer case. It is more important to demonstrate your pathway than getting the right answer. Not to say that getting the right answer is not important, but if you get to the right answer through an unstructured path, you will not advance.
