I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company
Interview
The process started out with on campus info sessions. Out of a candidature of hundreds, they shortlist 25 odd people, mostly with leadership experience or high GPAs. Following which, they hold a small workshop for case studies. Many practice from Case in Point, but if you have less then 2 months to your interview, I suggest you do not open the book as your quality of case analysis goes through a J-curve. The personal questions are limited. Its mostly the case. Kill it and you got it

Question 1
Case was on ticketing companies like priceline, expedia and how to turnaround a failing company by generating revenue streams.
The recruiter was great! 2 rounds of 5 interviews, first was 2 associates, second was 3 partners. My first round, the interviewers spoke absolutely broken English and made it extremely difficult to understand what they are trying to say. My second interviewer was extremely rude as well. Honestly comes down to who interviews you and the case selection that will determine your fate
I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Interview was a straightforward case study, and a McKinsey-specific Personal Experience Interview. This was difficult but I was able to prepare, so it was not too challenging after preparation. The team was very kind throughout the process and I was able to request information on the interview style ahead of time.

Question 1
Tell me about a challenge and how you overcame it?
Passed the online test and then had a round 1 interview. I got a rejection call shortly after. Interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical. Difficulty depends on difficulty of case.
