I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Tokyo) in Apr 2021
Interview
First, I was asked to introduce myself, then the interviewer asked about my previous experience, so I answered while showing my portfolio. In the end, we had a 10 mins Q&A session. This interview was about 1 hour long and was organized online.
I want to clarify why I rate this experience negatively. The interview question was proper and great while the interviewer was obviously in a bad mood that day. She looked like she was not interested in doing this and made me feel like she was mentally checked out somehow.
I was shocked to have such a negative experience because, before this interview, I met several people who work(worked) at Mckinsey to ask for portfolio review and everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and empathetic(including 2 recruiters). This was the only person that made me so frustrated. If you don't want to do this just screen me out :)
