I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company in Aug 2014
Interview
Problem Solving Test followed by two rounds of interviews. First round consisted of two one hour interviews, with 15 minutes personal experience questions and another 45 minutes on a case. The second round was strictly quantitative. All the interviews were one-on-one. Worth noting is that the interviewers each asked the same question for background experience; but it was clear that they each wanted a unique example to be employed to answer the question.

The quantitative section of the second round interview was much harder than anything else I have seen in a case interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview schedule is very tight, consisting primarily of case interviews. Interviewers will ask about your background and experience as detailed in your resume and present case questions. The final round may require an in-person interview.

Question 1
How you explain technical concept to people from non-tech background?
Straightforward, well structured & well explained. Long duration, with 5 30-ish minute interviews total spread out over the course of a couple of weeks. Great support, information on requirements/evaluations readily available.
Too long - too many rounds. Had to play a game first, then multiple rounds. No follow ups after I was rejected - I got ghosted.
Did not enjoy it - obviously this was a long while back and I was too young to notice but not a good behaviour. Truly no respect.
