I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Sep 2011
Interview
There were several rounds of interview including Technical round, problem solving round, fitment round, HR round and then another technical round. Technical rounds were based more on past experience and moderately on the current role. The problem solving round being the most interesting as it mostly decides at which level you will be hired. The rest were mostly around your attitude and communication etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview schedule is very tight, consisting primarily of case interviews. Interviewers will ask about your background and experience as detailed in your resume and present case questions. The final round may require an in-person interview.

Question 1
How you explain technical concept to people from non-tech background?
Straightforward, well structured & well explained. Long duration, with 5 30-ish minute interviews total spread out over the course of a couple of weeks. Great support, information on requirements/evaluations readily available.
Too long - too many rounds. Had to play a game first, then multiple rounds. No follow ups after I was rejected - I got ghosted.
Did not enjoy it - obviously this was a long while back and I was too young to notice but not a good behaviour. Truly no respect.
