The process took 1 week. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Helsinki, Southern Finland) in Mar 2009
Interview
The interview consisted of 2 parts. First they made me take a 1.5 hour multiple choice reasoning test, which was followed by two case interviews. Preparing for the case interviews is crucial. There are lot of case interview preparation books out there, if you apply for management consulting firms, mastering the cases are very important.

Question 1
How would you estimate the number of gas stations in Finland
Passed the online test and then had a round 1 interview. I got a rejection call shortly after. Interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical. Difficulty depends on difficulty of case.
I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (New York, NY)
Interview
Positive experience until the super day. The scheduling was quite long and they gave me a month's gap between my previous round and my final round. But overall everyone speaks eloquently and thinks logically. My interactions with senior partners are also very positive; they ask insightful, probing questions and were encouraging throughout the interview. I thought I smashed it, but one of the partners called me the other day and rejected me.
First you get an HR Round, then 2 back to back interviews then 3 interviews. The overall process took around 2-3 weeks, it was not very difficult very fast turnaround
