I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Kuala Lumpur) in Jul 2015
Interview
Southeast Asia office. Submitted online and got an email 3 weeks later to go to the office for a written problem solving test. Outcome/score was not shared, but the test was about the same difficulty as the practice test on their website. After that, was invited for interviews: 2 rounds, first with an Associate and an Engagement Manager, then final round with 3 partners. As usual, all interviews were composed of fit questions (more detailed than other firms) plus case studies. All case studies were straightforward (no curveballs), moderate difficulty. There seemed to be an emphasis on "exhaustiveness", i.e. asked to list some recommendations, then asked "what else?" until you draw a blank. I guess this tests ability to ideate and come up with solutions? Got an offer 10 days after the final interview.
Additional comment: my work experience had zero "branding" i.e. only smaller companies, but significant achievements. If you can get an interview, it's all about how you do in person

Question 1
In both rounds I was asked to describe a time I worked in a team and handled some conflict. A tip I can share is to craft stories beforehand and deliver them in a way that preempts "follow-up questions". e.g. usually during your story, they will ask things like "how did colleague A or B react to your action?" - if you can provide such details without them asking, you can control the flow of the conversation better and curate the image you want for them
It is a difficult process, it is often not very clear what the exclusion factors are in the case interview. Behaviour interviews are as described on the website. Recommend being very familiar with their style of case interviews

I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi)
Interview
Application/Interview process: Applied online for a Business Analyst role through Glassdoor. Was invited to complete the McKinsey Solve online case assessment (a gamified problem-solving test, roughly 80 minutes). Completed it and received a rejection email about two weeks later, before any live interview stage. I requested them to share my test score and got a reply 2 days after that i scored a 10th decile and 537 points, despite this they didn't consider me for the HR interview round. This made me really confused and they refused to share any further information with me.
The real reason why they rejected me is still unknown.
Supporting leadership and smooth case process. Good and detailed response to my questions and people look very professional. Told me the actual situation of the working hours which is authentic.
