I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Auckland, Auckland) in Feb 2016
Interview
Applied online for BA role in Sydney (based in New Zealand myself). After 12 days received an email informing the Australian office would like to meet me. Had 7 days to prepare and the interview was conducted locally in a hotel across from a client's headquarters. Because it was done away from McKinsey's office I got to skip the PST but ended up having to do three one on one interviews instead of two. Interview format mostly consists fit and case. The fit stuff is pretty straightforward and should be no problem for anyone that got passed resume screening. But the case, a little open ended and mental maths can be challenging for someone who hasn't been in junior high in a long time. So advice for anyone going into the interview: practice heaps of mental math equations. And when coming up answers, be clear about the approach. The company cares more about the approach then result (but the result is pretty important too).
Overall, pretty positive experience and they gave great feedback which prepared me well for my interviews with BCG and Bain. Learnt a lot about the company too. Too bad wasn't given more time to prepare.

Question 1
Using the format of a news paper headline, tell me a time when you were in a conflict.
I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (New York, NY)
Interview
A standardized test followed by 2 first round, 3 final round. Case-style interview. All interviews were done onsite in the local office. People were perfectly nice and recruiters coordinated everything. Overall, it was a good experience.
It is a difficult process, it is often not very clear what the exclusion factors are in the case interview. Behaviour interviews are as described on the website. Recommend being very familiar with their style of case interviews

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to face and outgrow a challenge.
I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi)
Interview
Application/Interview process: Applied online for a Business Analyst role through Glassdoor. Was invited to complete the McKinsey Solve online case assessment (a gamified problem-solving test, roughly 80 minutes). Completed it and received a rejection email about two weeks later, before any live interview stage. I requested them to share my test score and got a reply 2 days after that i scored a 10th decile and 537 points, despite this they didn't consider me for the HR interview round. This made me really confused and they refused to share any further information with me.
The real reason why they rejected me is still unknown.
