I applied online. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Kuala Lumpur) in Aug 2021
Interview
McKinsey's interview process is rigorous and structured, typically involving two rounds of case interviews and personal experience interviews (PEI). Candidates first undergo resume screening and may take a Solve assessment (a game-based cognitive test). The first round includes two interviews with a business case problem and behavioral questions focused on leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. Successful candidates move to the final round, where they face more complex case studies and deeper PEI discussions with senior partners. The firm looks for structured thinking, strong analytical skills, and impactful leadership experiences. Offers are extended after deliberation, with feedback provided to those who don’t make it.

they let you prep for cases and do what the book says. this is only a question of how hard you prepared. then they take the people one by one and repeat again and again. sometimes the people who give you interviews have been there for less time than 1 yr
