I applied online. I interviewed at MediaAlpha (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2021
Interview
I was initially contacted through e-mail to set up a time to interview through Calendly. I signed up for a time slot for the interview. A few days later I received an email asking to push the time back, which I didn’t mind. I just had to move some things around. The day of my interview, a few hours before my interview was to take place, I received a cancellation. I then got an email saying they filled the position. I thought this was extremely unprofessional. From a recruiting and HR perspective, are they just having people set up an interview slot with the possibility of not even giving them a chance? I found this to be poor recruiting practices and speaks on the culture of the company. Especially during these times where people have been laid off due to the pandemic, this was truly a negative experience.
