I applied online. I interviewed at Medtronic (Saint Paul, MN) in Sep 2020
Interview
Applied online and was reached out to by a Regulatory Admin. Got an interview schedule with 2 groups and Director. 1st group was 2 individual level contributors. 2nd group was 2 managers.
Interview from the individual level contributors was worthless. They ask questions based on the STAR interview style. Very dry and no time to even get to know one another.
Interview from management still ask STAR questions but actually got to asking about work related experience. Examples: change orders, submission experience, post-market, labeling, countries, etc.
Finally the Director interview. Asked experience related questions and why I was looking to move companies. He went onto talk about how hiring is slow because of cooperate changes that are happening with the new CEO but it shouldn't affect individual level contributor roles.
Overall I thought the interview went well and anticipated an offer. Its now been 6 weeks and I have yet to hear anything. The only contact I have is for the Admin who setup the interviews. Emailed her twice; once at 2 weeks at once at 5 weeks. Radio silence.
Needless to say its frustrating to get no response. Even if the position is on freeze or I didn't make the cut, communicate that with me.
