This morning I called representative of this company to discuss a position that was brought to my attention from a family friend. The conversation was ended about 6-7 minutes in sadly because I was so uncomfortable. I spoke to the most arrogant, pompous, and belittling person. He laughed at most of my answers and told me that they would never hire a pharma rep because they are not solely responsible for their own success. Why treat people this way? It’s just wrong. I ended the phone call, I could never imagine working for a company that would allow this type of person to treat people this way. The company culture definitely doesn’t reach my standards in the slightest. My advice to this company is to remind their employees that belittling perspective employees is a horrible look. Especially to laugh at someone during a conversation? So unprofessional. No thank you Medtronic.

Question 1
Why would we hire you to sell our amazing technology?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic
Interview
I honestly have no idea where to start other than that I was disappointed. A recruiter reached out to me to schedule a 1-1 interview at a certain day and time. We exchange contact info and have it locked down in the books.
Day of the Interview/phone call comes. Silence. No phone call, no response, no "lets reschedule." I reached out to them asking why they might've have missed our meeting and received no response. Frankly disappointed. For a company that boasts core values of recognizing "the personal worth of all employees," and maintaining "good citizenship as a company," I am disrespected to have observed the exact opposite. Do better
The interview was a long and lengthy process. Do your homework about the company. There’s a lot of information on the website so take some time to really go through it so you will feel comfortable discussing the company and its businesses.
It was great and insightful to the job I was applying for. Asked a few difficult questions that made me think. Good learning opportunity for anyone who is interviewed. I am typing a few more words.
