I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in Apr 2012
Interview
It was short and very personal. My boss just asked about school, career expectations, internship expectations, and social life. Not too much involved here since I was referred about an employee. I got to talk to CTO.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
Phone call followed by in person interview. The interview was pretty quick and they got back to me the following week. The employment process took many weeks. They require medical clearance and more paperwork required. Medical clearance was very tedious and specific. They also asked for 3 reference letters so that is an important of their process.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
Email conversations then phone interviews with the HR personnel. Then they requested to send transcripts and references and letters of recommendation. After a few week I got my first email for selection process and matching to suitable lab or department. I was provided with a list of mentors and the project proposals. I sent the list back with my preference, which was probably matched with mentors' list of favorable interns. After the process was over, I received another email, announcing my acceptance to the program. Then there was a long list of papers to be filled out, immunization and background checks. Then I was interviewed by the direct supervisor who would be in charge of me.
