I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in Jun 2016
Interview
Took me over a month or more. I applied internally (already working for another department) so my chance was slightly better (and the phone interview by the HR/talent acquisition was rather short and simple).
But since this position is involved with two different departments, I had to interview with 3 project coordinators, 2 attending doctors, 1 lab manager, and 1 research center director.
The interviews themselves weren't too challenging (except for those with project coordinators), but the process was just long.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What would you do when one of your attending doctors complained about your fellow RSA(s)? Would you tell your fellow RSA? If yes, how?
- We might have high school kids / college students during summer for certain tasks, but they seem not too motivated. How would you approach and make them more motivated?
- To build a better team, it needs to be a drama / gossip free environment. How do you deal with gossips at work?
- One of your fellow RSAs is not doing too great on his/her work. How would you inform that to him/her without confronting?

Interview
Efficient and professional. After submitting my resume in response to the job posting I was interested in, I received a call back within a week and was in the MSKCC offices for interviews within two weeks.

Question 1
Proficiency in multiple languages given the needs for that job position
I applied online. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Jun 2020
Interview
Call from HR department who matched me with a team a few months later, had an in person interview with the team. They were all really nice. Was then followed up and was placed on an alternative team which had a completely different dynamic and culture than my interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Behavioral, but basic because this is typically a first job out of college.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
I was called about 2 weeks after applying online, and scheduled a phone screen interview. The phone screen took about 10 minutes and I was asked pretty generic questions about my research experience and clinical experience. They then said I would need to come in for 2 more interviews over the next month, which seemed a little excessive.
