I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mercer in Sep 2010
Interview
I cleared the IQ/Aptitude test of mercer & finally after 3 weeks or so i was called for the personal interview. There were 2 interviewers who were actuarial managers in mercer. This was the first interview of my life & i was nervous because i knew that this interview was not a piece of cake. I couldn't get through the interview round. Overall it was an average difficulty interview with some amount of cross questioning that made me extra nervous. My advice is whenever you go for an actuarial interview, be prepared to justify your appointment to the company. Be ready to do some serious number crunching exercise before the interview panel & some questions whose reply you can not think of in an instantaneous moment.

Question 1
Suppose you want to estimate the no. of marriages in a certain city on a particular date. What will be your approach?
Very poorly, was contacted via LinkedIn (I didn't initially applied). The interviewer missed the first scheduled call and only wrote back after 5 days. Second scheduled interview was fine. Promised to give me feedback about salary range and send me further recruitment tests. Never got any feedback, seems very unorganized
