Interview
Flawless communication from the first to the last minute - even though I did not receive an offer. Everyone I came in touch with was warm and friendly, happy to answer any questions and offer to remain in contact.
Initially, I had an interview with the hiring manager which was followed by a panel interview. Both times the energy was vibrant and positive which makes the interviewing process much less painful for somebody who is nervous.
As one of the very few - if not only - employers who actually kept me abreast of where things stood, they did not ghost me so I could figure out that I did not get the job but actually communicated with me. Sadly that is not the norm even though it is such basic human decency.
I am confident that Merck is a great place to work.
Went through a couple of rounds of interviews - ranged from 1-3 people each. Most people I met were nice and friendly. Got through all rounds, but in the end, turns out their compensation package is not great so did not proceed.
