I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mercy Corps
Interview
Very efficient and quick. Only one virtual interview (45min) with two people I would work with and heard back by the end of the week. Friendly and personable.; it wasn't a particularly difficult interview and the interviewers made it feel more like a conversation.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mercy Corps (Washington, DC) in May 2017
Interview
The interviewer was friendly with standard questions but was unable to provide additional details about position expectations, the stipend process described in the job posting, etc. Additionally, during the interview, they asked a personal question which was inappropriate and irrelevant for the position I was applying for - while I believe it was a question to assess the "culture fit" it was treading on illegality.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer asked about the size of my family, which is highly inappropriate and I interpreted that they wanted to know whether or not I had children - something that is illegal to ask about.
