HR person did a phone screen interview and literally just red the questions robotically while she typed my answers. Very impersonal. Didn't know my background. Didn't have much information about the role. Very much a waste of my time. Even asked me about my proficiency at MS Office. Honestly, I was very insulted.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mercy Health
Interview
Applied online through their portal: upload resume, cover letter, and verify the info it pulls into a form. Once that was submitted, received an email to complete two questionnaires. Completed the questionnaires and then waited for a response. Received an email within a week from HR to have a first phone interview - basically a screening call. This call happened within about 2 weeks of applying. The call was less than 10 minutes and just basic questions that verified info in my resume, as well as a couple specific questions related to the job. HR person said at the end of the call that she would set me up with another phone interview with the hiring manager. This second phone interview with the hiring manager took place about one week later. This call lasted about 30 minutes. The hiring manager took the time to discuss Mercy Health, provide more context about the position and how the team was structured, and then asked questions specifically about my experiences. Conversation went well. At the end of the call, Hiring Manager said they would be in contact to let me know about an in-person interview. Nearly 5 weeks later, I finally received an email from HR to say that they decided to move forward with other candidates. This was the first communication I had received after my second phone interview, having followed up with multiple emails (spaced out appropriately) asking for some feedback about where I stood in the process. While the interviews themselves were positive, the lack of communication after the second interview made this a negative experience.
