      Administrative Assistant Interview

      Feb 21, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Silvis, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MercyOne (Silvis, IL) in Feb 2024

      Interview

Job described range of pay. Based on experience I put down mid range when asked. Did not hear back. When I applied for a different position their recruiter contacted me by text to advise they had dismissed my last application as I had asked for too much. Confused I asked why that was when the amount was within the band given. I was told that based on my experience (years of office and customer service) that I would only qualify for the starting pay and the higher amount I was requesting was for people that were there for 30 plus years. I politely thanked him for the information and moved on. Recently noticed that no matter what job I apply for on their website I get rejected and told that I do not have the experience, even when I do. So they blacklisted my account for asking to be paid what they were advertising a position for. This would explain why Genesis has a ton of openings right now and no one is accepting any of them. You can make more starting at jobs with less responsibility and better hours than their starting pay.
