I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Feb 2018
Interview
First step was a phone interview, then an in-person interview at the NY campus 2.5 weeks later. The second interview consisted of 4 technical interviews, one of which was a more classical interview about projects/background experience and the others were all whiteboarding questions. Then a month later after a few delays I was asked to complete one more 45 minute phone interview which was also a technical interview. One week later I was rejected.

Question 1
On the personal side they asked about what I would consider to be my "superpower"
The process is straightforward and designed to help us get to know each other. It moves through a few stages at a comfortable pace, involves conversations with several team members, and focuses on making sure it's a good mutual fit.

Interview
Had an initial recuriter call and then scheduled a coding round with 2 leetcode questions. Practicing Meta-tagged leetcode questions would help prepare for this round. Interviewers expect clear communication and code.
Generic LeetCode-style questions, many tagged as Meta, so extensive preparation is required to perform well in the technical interview. The experience varies significantly - some interviewers provide hints and guidance, while others expect candidates to solve problems independently with minimal assistance.
