I applied online. They asked me to complete a short (20 minute) online reasoning test - some verbal reasoning questions, some numerical reasoning questions, some inductive reasoning questions. I got invited for an assessment centre. This consisted of a series of reasoning tests, a program tracing exercise, problem solving exercise (suggest a solution to a given problem), a program design exercise, and a personal interview.

It was very easy to make a mistake during the program tracing exercise.
An initial online test was followed by additional on-paper tests on site. Candidates who were not native English speakers were given a special "non-language-biased" test. I found this bizarre - why not have everyone take this non-biased test instead?
After the tests, we had to answer several 30-minute questions on paper. Although the position was advertised as not requiring programming experience, some of the questions were clearly aimed at candidates with at least basic coding skills. They involved tracing the execution of some spaghetti code and writing pseudocode for a card game engine and AI (!). I found it hard to come up with satisfactory answers in the allotted time.
The final stage was a short face-to-face interview with a senior engineer. It involved going over all the answers and trying to improve/correct them. A rather frustrating experience since it's unlikely to suddenly know the answer to a problem only an hour after first attempting it.
Overall, a difficult, over-complicated and unpleasant interview, for a poorly remunerated intern position.
