      Summer Intern Interview

      May 18, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Michael Page (London, England) in Apr 2012

      Interview

The interviewer was some 10 minutes late and did not find it necessary to apologise for making me wait. The interview itself was pretty standard, only rather shorter - it lasted about 15 minutes instead of the standard half an hour. There were no tricky questions and the person who interviewed me did not really seem interested.

      Summer Intern Interview

      Feb 28, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Michael Page in Feb 2014

      Interview

First stage - submitted online application which had basic details, competency questions and opportunity to add CV. Second stage - 1-1 telephone interview, lasts 20-30 minutes. Highly competency based with selling questions. To be honest, felt more like a graduate interview than a Summer internship one. Feedback/"correct answers" were given at the end of each question. Third stage - Group interview

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you sell to a client who has said they already have candidates in mind?

      Summer Intern Interview

      Sep 11, 2013

      Application

      I interviewed at Michael Page

      Interview

They got back to me relatively quickly. The interviewed seemed disorganized and in fact she had to reschedule the first interview 10minutes after it was supposed to start. The interview process consisted of standard competency based questions. Looking back it wasn't very difficult but it was my first phone and competency interview ever and nerves got the best of me. I talked too quickly and I think messed up some facts about my initial application which she had clearly in front of her.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were related to the job and I could answer 99% of everything they asked me, however, some questions were really specific and I don't think it would be possible to gain this insight unless you ever tried to work in that environment. I did considerable research on the job and one or two things were still new to me.. not the end of the world but it seemed like I didn't do enough research for position I applied.
