They contacted me after seeing my profile on a recruitment site. I had an initial telephone screening interview and was then transferred to the internal recruitment manager for another telephone interview. She provided various links to research before the call. The telephone interview was fair. Only criticism- they did not provide feedback on the interview until I prompted over email.

i received an interview invitation after the day i applied the role, which is really efficient, and on the same time, leaving me not much time to prepare. The interview is based on competency questions, previous experiences, cv related questions and open questions.

I had two phone interviews- the first was very quick (around 10 mins) and casual and relaxed. The second was longer (lasted just under an hour) and consisted of competency questions followed by a role-play. The competency questions were the usual 'give me an example of a time when you showed leadership skills/sales skills' etc etc. At the end of the phone call, I was invited to attend their assessment centre in London in two weeks time. The Talent Acquisition member gave me lots of good feedback from the role-play and lots of tips and advice for the assessment centre. The assessment centre began at around 9am and ended just before 5pm. It is a VERY long day. I didn't realise how exhausting I would be by the end of it. There were 3 tasks which involved group work, paired work and individual work. I found by far the final task to be the hardest as I was in a group with two other people who just continuously spoke over each other and myself. I am a very confident person but there's definitely a line between that and arrogance and I felt they crossed it. At this point, I completely felt like I was out of the game because I hadn't been the loudest. I got a phone-call the next morning offering me an interview with the regional manager and director, again in London. 6 of us attended the AC and I was told myself and 1 other went forward to the final interviewing stage. This just shows you have to be confident and definitely take an active part during the AC but they certainly aren't looking for the person who can simply shout the loudest! The interview consisted of four separate interviews with different people in the company- around 40mins each. One was quite intense and the other three were more relaxed. They do ask a lot about your family and background but I wasn't put off by this. I also had to sell a pen to one interviewer. I interviewed on the Monday but wasn't called until the Friday so I was very nervous. I was told that I had interviewed well but that I would be better suited to a different division based on things I had said in the interview and also my psychometric results. I interviewed three weeks later on a Friday with two different divisions and got a call within half an hour of leaving the building to say it was pretty much a done deal. On the Monday morning I got a call to formally offer me a place on the graduate scheme. I would say the interviews were based more on your personality, family, background etc. rather than competency questions which are covered in the initial phone-calls. VERY long and exhausting process but I liked that they were so thorough and really cared about making sure I was in the division which would be the best fit for me and where I would work best.
