I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Michael Page (New York, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
This was the most unprofessional experience of my life and I think it is a leading example of the contempt companies seem to be giving job candidates these days. It started off as a standard recruiter reaching out to me via LinkedIn. We had a fairly standard and easy phone interview and then had me do an online personality test. After I passed both with flying colors, I was asked to come in to the New York City office for a one-on-one interview with the Managing Director. I promptly requested a day off work and took a two hour train down to Manhattan for the interview.
When I arrived, the recruiter who initially contacted me met me and told me that the Managing Director was caught up in a meeting. Fine, no harm in that, it's perfectly understandable. I duly filled out some paperwork before the recruiter re-asked me all the questions from our initial phone interview (probably to stall for time while the Managing Director wrapped up the meeting, which was again fine). She then brought in one of her colleagues to talk to me (further stalling).
When the first recruiter came back, she told me that the Managing Director got called in for yet another meeting and would be unable to meet me, but we could schedule a FaceTime interview for later in the week. I was in the office for less than 45 minutes total after losing a whole day's pay. My current job pays hourly so I didn't just incur travel expenses, which were expensive as well. The next day I was then told that the Managing Director would be too busy the rest of the week to interview me and that no one else was available. This was so blatantly disrespectful to waste my time like this, especially for a recruiting agency.
Clearly, this company only values the applicants they are paid to care for instead of the ones who they might eventually pay. Given their line of work, I expected better from their interviewing process. I do not recommend interviewing with them if this is how they choose to conduct themselves.

Interview
I had a final round interview with a man named Sean Puddle. He told me I wasn't a good fit because I was from Long Island and likely had family money, so I wouldn't be hungry enough for this sales role.
Sean is now at Robert Walters, and I'm sure he's been the same jerk there.
