It was a panel interview. I was there for well over an hour. About half way through I realized it would be a poor fit as I did not have several of the skills required for the job. However, I still answered all questions and thanked everyone for their time. Everyone was extremely nice and seemed interested in what I had to say. I sent follow up thank you notes to all concerned. However, what concerned me was I never received any feedback saying I was not chosen. I didn't expect to know why I wasn't hired but I expected an email saying "sorry, position has been filled" If you are chosen/complete an interview it would just be common courtesy. I felt this was very unprofessional.
