The hiring process was an interview first via phone and then in person. The phone interview was more or less behavioral, and the in person interview covered details regarding your academic/professional experience.

Interview
Applied online and about 2.5 months later was contacted by the director for an interview. Upon arrival I was asked to fill out a comprehensive paper application including work and education history and reference contact info (make sure you bring at least one copy of your resume and your references' contact information). I first met with the director who gave an overview of the company, the hours of the position, the salary, some of the benefits, and what is expected of a clinical associate scientist. I then met with the microbiology lab manager who asked if I had any work experience in micro, but since I did not have any, I offered a description of the relevant lab courses I had taken. He described the position a bit more in depth and gave me something of an oral quiz in general microbiology. Overall, the people I met with were very nice and easy to talk to and the interview flowed more like a conversation than a Q/A session. There were no standard behavioral questions.
