I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Warsaw, Masovia)
Interview
A recruiter contacted me in august through Linkedin. I give him my CV, and around October I mantained a phone interview with a different recrutiter. This phone interview was focused on reviewing my CV, past projects, and questions about common programming issues such as recursivity.
After this interview, I went to the last interview in Warsaw (Poland). In there, I mantained 5 different interviews with SW Engineers from Redmond during the morning. Each interviewer presents you with a programming problem (Data structures, recursivity, etc.) to be solved in a white board for 45min-1h

Expect a lengthy hiring process that can take at least two months from start to finish. In my experience, there was approximately one month of interviews followed by another month waiting for the final decision. Be prepared for a slow timeline, especially after completing all interview stages.
