Started with the basic why law why corporate law why us questions. Then moved on to competency stuff. All in all the process was very smooth and interviewers were very friendly.
The assessment day interview was unlike any interview I had with other US firms. For one, it was impossible to gauge how it had gone and there was no pretence that it was a two-way conversation. Be aware of commercial issues and be ready to dive in to your reasoning behind your opinions/ show real understanding of topics you bring up. They do not want you to show off that you read the news or know things generally about commercial law - make your examples and questions relevant and directly applicable.
