Interview
Initially they will call over the phone and do a pretty brief interview and schedule an appointment for an in person interview. During the in person interview you will do Prove It testing to test your skills in microsoft word, excel, spelling and grammar. These tests are not very difficult, especially for people fresh out of college. After completing testing you will meet with an HR person, heads of the legal assistant department and possible a legal assistant. The people are very friendly and generally conversational and pleasant. They are also very quick to tell you that long hours are expected and that there is a steep learning curve. If they like you, they will call you back for a second interview to interview with partners of a specific department to determine if they would like to place you there. Overall, the interview process is not typical of other large firms where the people can be very unfriendly and condescending. Just answer honestly and choose your words carefully and you will be fine.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most people ask behavioral questions that therefore lead to personal questions. For example, "name a time where you had to deal with difficult people" or "what accomplishment are you most proud of." All other questions usually ask about prior work experience or things that you briefly commented on.

Interview
Milbank LLP was super responsive, and the interview process was straightforward. I had a screening call, then heard back for a second round interview after two days. I found out two days after that they decided not to move forward with my application, which was upsetting because it was my top choice. However, everyone was super friendly and it seems like a great work environment.
Quick phone call, one person on the other end just basic questions about experience and your resume/profile. Know your application very well before answering and reasonings behind wanting to work there

Interview
Setting up a date to do a phone screening was kind of disorganized. The person interviewing me didn’t really speak much on the culture nor what the role would look like. Sounded like they wanted to get the interview over with because they didn’t even ask me to introduce myself.
