At first, the interview process here was really great. The communication between HR and I was stellar, as they had kept constant contact and checked in with me consistently. I had three rounds of interviews - one screening, an interview with the person who would be my direct manager, and another interview with team members. Upon concluding the third interview, I was excitedly told by HR that I would be moving forward as a finalist for one last interview with the head of the entire department. They said I would be contacted to set up a meeting, but one week went by... then two. I reached out asking whether things were still moving forward, and I kept getting the same response that the person was out traveling, however, they had no ETA for me. It is now 3 months past my initial contact from HR, and I have clearly been ghosted. Luckily, I recently accepted another job, otherwise I would have been banking on this offer. I feel like the least they could have done was explain that things clearly weren't working out on their end.
