I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Millennium (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
Process took 8 days. First call with the first recruiter went well, and a day later, I had a technical with the Hiring Manager. After that call, the HM wanted to set up a day-long interview with the team. Before hanging up with me, he told me very specifically and in no uncertain terms to not use technical terms while interviewing with the team as it would, "turn them off" as "we are not an investment bank." He assured me it was solely a behavioral interview. The day-long went well, and 2 business days later, a recruiter called and advised that I didn't get the job because I didn't get technical with the team. Super misleading, and likely not necessarily truthful. I wish there was more consistency.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The HM gave some pretty interesting questions to which there were, "no right or wrong answers."
The interview experience with Millennium was underwhelming. A call that was scheduled for 30 minutes ended much earlier, just as I began asking follow-up questions. The conversation felt rushed, and the hiring manager showed little interest in a two-way dialogue. For a role centered on collaboration and innovation, I expected a more thoughtful and respectful interaction. It raised concerns about how the firm approaches candidate experience and communication.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Millennium (New York, NY) in Jun 2018
Interview
Initial phone interview. Two hour face-to-face interview with four people (30 minutes each). Personality quiz was sent a couple of days after the face-to-face interviews. Final response received about a week after the personality test.
