      QA Manager Interview

      Nov 21, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Milliman

      Interview

4.5 hours of zoom interviews with team members, managers, recruiters over a period of several weeks as many folks returned or left on vacations. After completing all interviews I was ready for an offer letter. This is when the recruiters started low balling me on salary expectations, trying to offer the LOWEST rate in the range that isn't even close to comparable for my area. As I was in the middle of these 'negotiations' with recruiters I see they reposted the job with an even HIGHER salary range of 194, while we were haggling over 176. Unbelievable waste of time, their 'range' is a lie, the job doesn't pay in any kind of range based on location, as they claim.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The job was to train non-coders how to code without directly managing them. Was expected to 'influence' rather than directly manage. I don't feel this role would set anyone up for success.
