Interview
The interview process was long. There was a first round interview where they asked about your interest in Milltown, a second round interview that talks about a take home assessment, a third round that talks about your work style, and then a fourth round with executives. They give you a brochure about the interview process before the first round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself, why milltown, how do you read the news, tell me about a recent project, how do you interact with people who disagree with you
I interviewed at Milltown Partners (London, England)
Interview
I had two consultants interview me for about 50 min and like most interviews go they were neutral, friendly and curious about my experiences. There weren’t too many surprises however if you do give an opinion about a something comms related (eg. a campaign you liked or didn’t) they will lightly debate with you to see how good you are at supporting your point.
But it was mostly an average interview and I enjoyed speaking with the consultants.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Q. Describe a company with an interesting reputation.
The process had many stages (like 4 or 5?), I only made it through one. I definitely should have prepared more but it was pretty generic (what do you read, how do you manage expectations, when did you manage up, what projects have you owned etc.).

Question 1
Why I want to work in corporate communications and not in journalism or other types of communications
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Milltown Partners (London, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
45 minutes of 20 questions including follow ups. After the interview I got an email saying I wasn’t passionate enough about corporate comms, which was strange because the employee interviewing me was working in the same role and said he had no idea what corporate communications even meant when he started the role.
