Interview
Interview process was unduly long for an entry-level role with a starting salary of 29k and progression policies were not clear. You end up speaking to around 10 people from their firm. From LinkedIn, it seems there is high staff turnover and this is evident when you speak to senior management (not including the c-suite, they actually seem genuine). Most interviewers were extremely affable, reflecting a friendly and positive culture. It seems like it would be a nice place to work barring the condescending mid-upper management and lack of clear progression policies. Make sure you talk about your passion for tech and use their buzzwords. Additionally, prepare to be grilled on "DEI" and inclusivity despite the clear lack of diversity there.

Interview
I had two consultants interview me for about 50 min and like most interviews go they were neutral, friendly and curious about my experiences. There weren’t too many surprises however if you do give an opinion about a something comms related (eg. a campaign you liked or didn’t) they will lightly debate with you to see how good you are at supporting your point.
But it was mostly an average interview and I enjoyed speaking with the consultants.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Q. Describe a company with an interesting reputation.
The process had many stages (like 4 or 5?), I only made it through one. I definitely should have prepared more but it was pretty generic (what do you read, how do you manage expectations, when did you manage up, what projects have you owned etc.).

Why I want to work in corporate communications and not in journalism or other types of communications
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Milltown Partners (London, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
45 minutes of 20 questions including follow ups. After the interview I got an email saying I wasn’t passionate enough about corporate comms, which was strange because the employee interviewing me was working in the same role and said he had no idea what corporate communications even meant when he started the role.
