I applied online. I interviewed at Mimecast in May 2019
Interview
A really strange interview experience. I applied online and a few weeks later, I had an email from a 'senior recruiter' telling me that they wanted to set up a call with me. They gave me the choice of two days and I replied with my preference. After this, I heard nothing - no confirmation, no acknowledgement - not even a confirmed time of the phone call . The day of the phone interview arrived and I had to send an email to the senior recruiter asking them if they were still going ahead with the call and could they let me know what time the call would be?
I was finally called 30 mins later than was agreed. The interview questions were quite standard but halfway into the interview the recruiter asked me if we could pause as someone in her office was leaving and she wanted to say goodbye !
At the end of the call, I was informed that I wasn't a perfect fit for the role that I had applied for (Which did surprise me a little as I was literally looking after the same partner accounts in my current job) - However, there was another position that was more suitable and she would be putting me forward for this.
After this I heard absolutely nothing....and seeing how that this interview was in May and now it's September, I'm not exactly optimistic.
I'd love to know if this interview experience with Mimecast is the norm ? The complete lack of feedback and radio silence after an interview I can take - lots of companies are rude like that. However, having to remind someone that it's my interview today and being put on hold while someone in the office has a chat are pretty new experiences for me.......
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mimecast
Interview
Disorganised, unprofessional experience in any geography.
On the first occasion, I arrived for an interview whereby I was told that the hiring manager who was conducting the interview was running late. So I wanted. After a while, reception asked me if we could reschedule and that the hiring manager would be another 45 mins late. I decided to wait.
When she finally arrived, she was completely disorganized. She done no prep as seemed confused as to why she was there. It emerged later that they had already filled to role.
Fast forward a few years and a different country.. same old mimecast. Scheduled an interview with HR over a call. This individual cancelled with minutes to go on 3 separate occasions and then ghosted me completely. Incredibly unprofessional.
