In the meantime, I was approached by other opportunities. I didn't take the offer because 1) base pay not competitive at all; 2) benefits package fairly minimum, no 401 matches, no HSA; 3) no equity - do you want to contribute without equity? and take a lower pay? 4) no sign-on; 5) no negotiation I initially had a very positive view of this firm and its future. But in the end, I figured that after all, they don't really value me that much.
