I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Miro in May 2022
Interview
The process was divided to several interviews, such as several live coding challenges, technical interview, system design, culture fit & soft skills.
First I had a call from a recruiter who works for Miro. Later the first interview was scheduled and I have received a Miro board with the whole interview process, which helped to understand all steps.
Before I have accepted an offer, I have met the team and visited their office.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Don't remember all questions, but the live coding challenge was related to string manipulation. Wasn't hard. Interviewers were really nice and helpful. Didn't feel any pressure from them.
System design interview was one of the hardest I ever had, especially for the one who never worked on something similar.
Another technical interview with the manager was also quite interesting, many questions were asked about collaboration, conflict solving, etc.
In general, I enjoyed the interview process.
The interview was quite challenging, but it provided a great opportunity to demonstrate my problem-solving skills. The live coding session was particularly engaging, allowing me to showcase my approach to coding under pressure.
They use Miro for every step of their interview. It will be better to create couple boards to get familiar with it before interview. Otherwise everything was similar to other firms.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Miro
Interview
After applying, I received a message saying that each of the five stages would take 7-10 business days. Around a month after this, I received a hackerrank test, on which I did not score perfectly. After another month, I received a rejection email. I believe the rejection was fair, but the 7-10 business days mentioned in the first email were misleading.
