Consisted of a stupid online coding exam. They ask for a simple implementation but don't give proper explanation to solve it. They use Qualified instead of the usual Hackerrank, which might have been part of the problem, but I blame most of it on the engineers who came up with it. This was probably the worst application process I've experienced in my career. Don't waste your time here!
Very thorough, quick scheduling. Fresh process. They give a lot of feedback but it’s very general. I got a feeling that in some stages they just didn’t vibe with me and came up with other feedback just to support the decision. The team is very friendly.
I applied through their website, spoke with HR, and completed a case study. I anticipated the next feature they’d ask me to implement during the live coding session and had already built it, based on patterns I spotted in the case study. Ironically, that led to a rejection.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Mixmax
Interview
It was a technical interview with one of the engineers on the team, where there were two main parts - one where I had to describe how I would design building an email inbox, and another for coding the search/filtering functionality. I didn't make it to the next round for consideration but really appreciated the interview opportunity and have stayed on their company newsletter email list ever since (despite not using the extension anymore)
