I submitted my resume and was initially contacted by the company's recruiter who was more interested in talking about her history and in an unprofessional manner. I was lucky enough to pass the "unprofessional" review and was contacted by someone who was in a position closely related to the open position. I listened to how there was a short staff of admins and mostly listened to complaints. I have worked in corporate for over 30 years for various size companies (2, 70, 100, 200, 30,000) and was criticized that I never worked for a smaller company according to my resume. Obviously, the person they hired for the same role was not a "seasoned professional" and was unfamiliar with the size of some of the well known companies I worked for. I was not given the opportunity to expand on any information as it was a one way conversation. I would not waste my time working for a company who hires unprofessional staff and then gives them the task overseeing interview processes. I'm not looking for a job to find a new "best friend".
