I applied thru the website. I carefully reviewed the requirements and as one of the most senior QA devs in the US with decades of experience I could see that I easily met them all. My employment application was rejected due to "as our requirements were not a match with your experience." suggesting to me that the actual requirements being used were different from what posted.
