Everything went smoothly. HRs and mentors were professional and easy to get along with. The pay is fair and living cost in FL is relatively low. There are many opportunities to conduct cross functional team collaboration.

Interviewed with PI, then staff members, and finally HR. Asked about research interest, career goals, etc. Entire process took about a few weeks and process was relatively straight forward. Application process was also very simple.

Electronic application was submitted. Followed by phone conversation with prospective PI. After positive phone interview, a 5 phase interview was scheduled that began with: (1) HR interview and explanation of benefits, (2) brief interview with possible coworkers, (3) 30 minute interview with PI, (4) presentation of PhD work and relevant research experience to 3 MD's and 2 technicians, and (5) 30 minute interview with Chair of the department.
