I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT) in Dec 2012
Interview
I had a phone interview with the recruiter followed by one in person, on-site interview with the hiring manager. I also completed a copy writing assignment. The interview contained basic questions, no curveballs or surprises.

Excellent - very thorrough with understanding my wants and needs. HR department was mostly great to work with in the process, I liked the group interview settings and call backs if I was chosen through the
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT) in Apr 2015
Interview
I submitted a resume and short application, and was contacted a few days later to come in for an interview. The HR staff members who assisted me with scheduling were all very nice and helpful throughout the process.
On the day of the interview, you will report to the HR/Employee Center referred to as Eagle View (it's the separate building in front of the casino itself). Typically, most are invited in for a group interview that is conducted without the applicants being aware they are being tested. What the recruiters are looking for is people who like to interact with others, and those who are positive and upbeat. This is definitely not the place to be shy, feel free to unleash your inner self because they want to see a glimpse of your personality, after all it is a casino!
Since this position was offered through one of my professors at my University, for some reason I missed the whole fun secret group interview. Instead, I was welcomed into a room with two ladies who worked within the department the position was for. They were very sweet and personable, so I felt comfortable right off the bat.
They each had a questionnaire that asked typical interview questions, and as I answered they jotted down brief notes. The duration of the interview lasted about 20-30 minutes and I was notified by the HR team member I was in contact with that I had received an offer.
I had to return to the property one more time after the interview to fill out some typical employment paperwork as well as register for the CT Gaming License (in order to legally work on the casino floor). Anybody with prior legal issues or criminal activity may not be the best fit for applying to this license - FYI!
If your record appears to be acceptable, they will approve it and you are invited in for orientation which is a 2-3 day process. Obviously, orientation is never any fun but Mohegan does a good job of livening up the situation and providing you with refreshments. When you come in for orientation they provide you with your gaming license and your employee badge (the photo is taken when you accept the position and go back in for the paperwork portion)!
ALL IN ALL - A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
