Moody's Associate Economist I interview questions

I applied through my college and did an on-campus interview with two interviewers. They asked me standard questions about myself, asked me to go over certain things on my resume in detail and asked me questions related to my Economics courses such as my areas of interest, my favorite class etc. They seemed tired and a little uninterested perhaps because they had conducted over 3 hours of interviews that day. The interviews were conducted in a giant sports stadium, so I was able to see the interview that took place before mine and I saw the interviewers high-fiving the interviewee.... I am concerned that mutual connections play a large role in the hiring process for this company (i.e. being on the same sports team, in the same fraternity etc. as the interviewers will get you far, while those who have no mutual/shared connections with the interviewers will not get anywhere). I noticed a similar trend among the employees at this company on Linkedin. Anyhow, after spending 30 minutes interviewing I never heard back from this company. I think the least you could do is send out rejection emails, if that's not part of your HR protocol you're probably behaving unprofessionally and have no regard for candidates.
