I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Bengaluru) in Sep 2016
Interview
They hand out a test paper involving questions on derivatives, NAV, accounting and a few questions on recent financial news. (This was not an elimination test). 3 rounds. First one being technical wherein clearing it would lead to the next two rounds. Intense round of questions in the first round pertaining to derivatives, NAV, and accounting. The first round lasted for about 25 minutes and was not shortlisted for the next two rounds. It was a decent interview experience where the interviewers make you feel comfortable and aren't too grilling either.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was told to calculate NAV, asked basic derivative questions like the difference between forwards and futures, an accounting question on prepaid expenses, questions on options (No strategies)
Everyone was professional and nice, at lease looked like they were. I made it through the final interview and received positive feedback from the HR, then got completely ghosted. No offer, no rejection, no response. Radio Silence.
Three rounds. First over the phone with HR. Second round via zoom. Final round in person. Spread out over 3 months. Using AI for scheduling and setting up calendar invites.
First round with sector head then second round with written test including a model test translation and then last round meet apac head, solid stock pitch needed, overall not really difficult
