I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (London, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
A rather standard IB tier 1 bank phone interviews with two bankers: one associate and one VP. As that was the role for the fund of funds within MS investment management, I had some fit based questions, technicals, and more generally in terms of my ideas to invest the specified sum of money ( reminded stock pitch for the research interviews).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why me, my master's experience, the areas I would invest, why VC and PE, what types of fund I am interested in.
Everyone was professional and nice, at lease looked like they were. I made it through the final interview and received positive feedback from the HR, then got completely ghosted. No offer, no rejection, no response. Radio Silence.
Three rounds. First over the phone with HR. Second round via zoom. Final round in person. Spread out over 3 months. Using AI for scheduling and setting up calendar invites.
First round with sector head then second round with written test including a model test translation and then last round meet apac head, solid stock pitch needed, overall not really difficult
