Interview
First of all, there is a 5-minute interview with HR. They ask basic questions regarding the field, for me the questions were about accruals, bonds, financial options etc.
Secondly (if you made it to the next round), there is an interview with the team manager and director. They ask questions to get to know you better and regarding your CV. Then, they inquire about your accounting/finance knowledge(similar to the first interview but they dig a bit deeper ) and skills in Excel or any experience with programming languages. They also test you problem-solving skills.
After that the HR calls and ask you administrative questions and they tell you that if you got the job, they will call you. In the other case, they will send you an email.
After that there is a security/ background check (if you got the job). Be prepared it is a long process!!

There was a Hirevue before, where you are asked to answer in both English and Japanese
Asked about finance (accounting) and statistics (e.g. law of large numbers, bookkeeping basics)
Interviewers were very friendly, very keen to ensure the potential interns had real passion

It took around 30 minutes, they had questions about cv, finance and excel knowledge, was online. Generally easy if you were prepared, fortunately there were no dumb HR questions like "which animal are you"
