I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2021
Interview
Applying for a role with the industrials investment banking group in Chicago. Met with HR first for a phone screen. Lasted about 30 minutes. Pretty basic walk through my resume. Then had a longer zoom inerview with a managing director and a business manager for the group. Lots of digging into my deal experience. Went back 8 years! Wanted someone who is prepared to step right into the role, since they are so busy
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many question about relevant deals. Strategic rationale, valuation etc...
Everyone was professional and nice, at lease looked like they were. I made it through the final interview and received positive feedback from the HR, then got completely ghosted. No offer, no rejection, no response. Radio Silence.
Three rounds. First over the phone with HR. Second round via zoom. Final round in person. Spread out over 3 months. Using AI for scheduling and setting up calendar invites.
First round with sector head then second round with written test including a model test translation and then last round meet apac head, solid stock pitch needed, overall not really difficult
