This interview was for Senior-Manager role in Morgan Stanley Mumbai(NKP office) and was conducted towards the end of July 2017. It was a weekend drive, whole day interview process. Round 1 was an aptitude round (written test, 1 hour). Some of the questions were miulti-choice. Some of them you had to write the code-block or SQL query. All questions revolved around java basics, mult-threading, sql etc. Round 2 was a tech round(~20 mins, taken by Manager). Involved tricky(not apparent immediately, think carefully a bit before answering) Java questions around inheritance, polymorphism, interface, collections, exceptions etc. Round 3 was another tech round(~2 hours, conducted by a Senior Manager). This was detailed round around Spring , Multithreading, explanation on project you have worked on (might ask questions on that). They might also throw in a system design question, or a DB design question. Design questions would start small with subsequent incremental features/requirements. Round 4 (tech/managerial round. ~ 30 mins. Conducted by an Executive Director). They basically test your logical prowess and also explain in detail the role and responsibilities. They asked me the following question: How would you identify unique shape object (think tetris game) from a stream of shapes? Shapes can be rotated as well, the same shape can appear in different orientations in the stream. Round 5 (HR round ~15 mins). They have some basic conversation with you. Then explain the role and package details.
