I went into the Durham office to speak with someone about entry level positions and left a resume. A couple of days later I received a call with an invitation for an interview. I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (California City, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
You will first interview with branch manager at location looking to fill position, then possibly a team or two that is looking for a junior advisor to partner with once you complete the program. Once you get passed those approvals, you will meet with the complex managers. All were very nice and just wanted to make sure you were prepared for the role.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in May 2021
Interview
I took a few assessments: workplace simulation, psychometrics test, and a general reasoning test (IQ test.) Then I had a screening call with a recruiter. Then I completed the Hirevue virtual interview. Then I was instructed to complete a business plan. My business plan was accepted, so I had 2 virtual interviews with a local office.
After several months of interviewing, I haven't received a definitive offer or rejection. I received a "Maybe!" This kind of hiring practice does not bode well for their "diversity and inclusion" efforts. I'm a POC (person of color) and I had to self select out. I can't wait for months on end to maybe-one-day-hope-to-dream-for-the-opportunity to get an offer.
